Whats wrong with the Left? (link)
Left Hand

I'm not talking about the political-left here, I mean the left-hand-side. As a leftie I've always been a little bit peeved about all the little things in life that are biased towards the right-handed majority.

Something that really annoys me is the phrase 'right handed'. Right implies correct, proper, the right-way to do it etc, suggesting that the 'left-way' to do it as the wrong or improper way.

Take charts and graphs as another example. You must have noticed how the positive end of a scale on the chart is always at the right of a its axis, whereas zero, bad or negative indications are allways at the left hand end.

In my first ever job out of school my boss even told me they almost didn't hire me because I was cack-handed. The position was a draughting one where they didnt fancy my dirty-old left hand dragging its ass through the wet ink as it moved accross the tracing paper.

But I'm not bitter, and as Rosemary puts it, "Its not a disability"

Lorin Elias has a left-handedness website that lists research showing we lefties are prone to such things as schizophrenia, criminality, delinquency, mental retardation, migraines, psychoticism and other afflictions like a tendency to play baseball, but I reckon this research is just a beat-up by right-handed scientists who've got it in for us Southpaws.

A wise person once said, "10% of the population are perfect, the rest are right-handed". I couldn't agree more.

Lefties Unite !!!
