Back from Nelson, time for a rest

Despite Mark's dire warnings about the perilous state of our North Island main trunk rail line, Kym and I appear to have made it home safely to Hamilton from our jaunt down to Nelson.

Over the last week we've travelled on most of the commonly available forms of transport. An airport-shuttle last Friday to Rukuhia, plane down to Nelson, rent-a-dent car to Mapua, bus to Marahau, bet the feet for four days in the Abel Tasman, a water taxi back to the start, ferry to Wellington, the train all the way to Hamilton and finally a taxi home on Sunday night.

With my Herculean-like luggage handling skills and Kym's planning abilities and punctuality we didnt miss a single timetable.

The main purpose of the trip was to attend Nicky and Manoli's wedding in Ruby Bay which was fun (pics), got to meet more of Kym's family members I'd only hear about which was cool, and had a looksie round parts of the Nelson district (pics) and Mapua (pics) while we were there. Had earlier convinced her to walk the Abel Tasman national park, well 3-days of it at least which was great (pics)

Now its time for some more concerted R&R over at Hahei for a few days.
