Scorpion Bath Anyone?
Scorpian

I've been sitting at my PC for the last half-hour or so reading the results from today's opening stage of the Tour-de-France, with Kym in the background watching Fear-Factor on TV giving me a running comentary.

One of the stunts on the show tonight involves contestants lying in a coffin-like box then having 3000 live friggin Scorpions poured over them. They have to lie still for a minute, then start manouvering a joystick controlled robotic-clamp to remove as many of the little stinging-creepy-crawlies as they can in the following couple of minutes.

One dude so far has gotten the job done, and got stung and pinched dozens of times for his trouble.

Looks like the chicks (the only other contestants left) are both freeking out. Both of them totally flipped just after getting into the box and had to be extracted ASAP without rarking up the Scorpions too much.

There've been some trippy challenges on the show but I reckon this one is the 1st one I've seen that I really dont think I'd even attempt. Kym concurs, and reckons "Fear Factor has gone too far this time"

I'm not sure about the eating challenges neither, fried crickets sure, but there's no way I'm eating pickled-pigs-rectums.

Incidentally, todays stage was won by Aussie Brad McGeeAussie.. Aussie.. Aussie !!!
