Bikes Bikes Bikes... (link)

Today has been packed full of bike related action. First thing this morning I popped down to Hamilton Motorbikes to pick up a new battery for the GPX that I'd ordered earlier in the week.

I get back home and start to feel guilty about how filtfhy the ZX7 is lookin so poured a hot soapy bucket of water and got to work on the lardy green fellah. Next thing I'm up to me arms in WD40 and chain-oil when first Mawzy calls in for a cuppa and then Brucey arrives in his Van with trail-bike loaded in the back.

This is the perfect opportunity to waste another couple of hours talking about his machine, trail-bike techie stuff (he's right into it) and of course the slightly cleaner Ninja. Doesn't take long for us to decide to do a crawl of the bike shops before they close so off we go. First the new Yamaha dealership, then Hammy bikes again and over the road to Road-n-Sport where Bruce bought some oil, I think it was a sympathy thing coz I was still covererd in the stuff.

Back home its time to drag out the video tape of the last leg of the MotoGP while we chuck down a beer and talk some more bike shit. Brucey hits the road and I pop open the Waikato Times and happen to spot this article on the upcoming NZ superbike season with a nice full-colour photo of local prospect Jared Love.

And now of course I'm in my bike-poster splattered office sitting at the PC reading emails from Lord Plunket about the evils of drink-riding and writing about Bikes myself.

Kym thinks I'm obsessed. Now I'm starting to wonder.
