Bachelor Babe Watch

Anyone been watching 'the Bachelor'?  You know, one of those multi-week dating shows were some stallion gets to do his best to talk some poor (and desperate) woman out of a group of dimishing size each week into marrying him. We're watching it on TV tonight and the action is really hotting up.

Kym's been forcing me to follow the series (maybe she thinks I'm gonna pick up on some of the wooing ideas). Last week it came down to three women left and tonite the pressure is really on. The poor bachelor has to elimnate one of the three and he reckons its gonna be a really hard decision. I'm not so sure.

I'm picking it'll be an easy choice and simply come down to the one that doesn't put out for him. Kym is of the opposite opinion though and reckons whoever does put out will be gone. The way women think aye?... crazy!!.

They're weekend away on their own has come and gone. They got to stay in the 'Fantasy suite' of the hotel in the city they chose to go to as a couple. Not sure how our Bachelor got on, he seemed to be making the moves pretty confidently in the spa pool but no clues as to how things worked out in the sack.

Ooohh, add-break.  Brooke, the younger blonde of the two left, is acting too desperate, she's losing her cool and I think she's about to start bawling, could be a good strategy. Gwyne (the other blonde) is playing it a bit cool, as is the brunette Elaine.

We're back !! .. and it's Gwynne that's bit the dust (didnt she put on a brave face though? Well, that's it for another week. There's some reunion night next week where the ejectee's from previous episodes get to bag our bachelor and each other, and then the big final the week after. Man this is exciting stuff.  I wonder if the TAB are doing odds on the winner?

RidingSpirits on the PS2 (link)

If you own a PS2 and like driving-sims I wouldn't reccomend buying Riding-Spirits unless its dirt-cheap. This GranTurismo-like game for the PS2 pretty much sucks and you'd really need to be actually drinking-spirits to have any sort of fun playing the bugger.

I'd read some pretty negative reviews of it recently but saw it in RealGroovy records in Auckland a couple of weeks ago for $40 and couldnt resist adding it to my PS2 stable. I mean, how bad could it be really?

I've thrashed the game over the last week in Arcade-mode (Simulation-mode is basically un-playable) and am starting to enjoy it a little more, but it's still basically sucky. The graphics are dissapointing, the sound is the worst of any driving-sim I've heard for the PS2, and the bike and track physics are abominable.

The career-mode build-up-your-bike thing is starting to be mildly interesting as I've begun to win the odd race and have progressed from 250cc to 400cc bikes, but I seriously doubt I'll end up getting anywhere near clocking the game.  Especially when the MotoGP2 game is so much better in almost every respect, and with MotoGP3 on the horizon I'd say, hold on to your spondoolies.
