Blood !!!! and a Texas Film-School  (link)

Tyler Vunts Your Bloooooodd!!! - I haven't been keeping up with cycling news of late, in fact I haven't been keeping up with any form of cycling (apart from re-cycling beer cans) but tonight we actually had some velo news on the evening news. And of course, it had to be negative.

It turns out that Tyler Hamilton (ex team-mate and right-hand-man of Lance Armstrong) has just been caught out by an Aussie invented blood test that indicates that Hamilton has received blood from someone else (probably through a transfusion) in an effort to increase his red-blood cell count thereby improving his bloods oxygen carrying capacity.

We're never shocked when we hear about the likes of Keith Richards having a blood transfusion coz he actually has a serious need for healthy blood. But this latest cycling team tactic is definately a bit spooky, and apparently its been going on for years.

Texas Film-School Massacre - Noy Thrupkaew reports on Michael Moore-bashing, conspiracy theories, and more at the American Film Renaissance, the first conservative film festival....

Michael Moore Hates America, for its shrill title, was just one such film – the cinematic documentation of filmmaker Wilson's quest to provide damning context to some of Moore's past work and to hunt down the filmmaker and ask him why he insisted on painting such a bleak picture of America. While I disagreed with Wilson's "the lack of personal responsibility in America is its biggest problem" stance, his film had an unusual humility and nuance.
