Its a Bad News Day (link)
Bad News

I've been reading the Google News site for a couple of months now which is a service that collates and presents headlines from web sites of papers and news agencies around the world.

Judging by today's headlines, it's definately a bad news day.

There are 26 major headlines on the index page today in various categories like world news, science, sports, entertainment, business and health. You'd think that out of that lot you'd find at least something positive, wouldn't you?

But lets see what we've got today...

  • Australia Ready to Support US Against Iraq
  • Sniper Attack Leaves Leader of Serbia Dead
  • Philippines military fights off rebels
  • East Timor army chief jailed for five years
  • FDA warns about dangerous fake version of Procrit
  • Forces Kill Five After Afghan Ambush
  • Video link to two more Enron arrests
  • Hubble Spies Evaporating Planet
  • Kashmir bus blast kills four
  • Pyongyang readies missile test

...with the only relatively good news being...

  • Rolling Stones up against a great wall
  • War could delay Oscar telecast

Bloggers Block (link)

No doubt you've been worried lately about my lack of writing over the last two days. "Where is He, why hasnt he blogged since Monday". But dont fear dear reader, I havent left you in the lurch yet.

Last night I even got the guilts and thought about getting up at 11:00 to post something thrilling after I was woken by the young bastards next door slamming their skateboards round on their back-yard ramp, which is conveniently located a few feet from my bedroom window.

We've named the kitten Eddy, and taken a few more photos of the little bugger. He's still on a roughly 50-50 ratio as far as making it to the kitty-litter-box goes before dumping on the floor, so the odd bit of justice is directed his way every now and then. Kym reckons he doesnt understand when if I smack him, but I certainly do and that's what counts.
