The Art of International Insults (link)

I'm pretty much over-exposed to the whole Iraqi thing, but I just had to laugh when reading this article on the BBC site today about online gaming communities getting tense with pro and anti Iraqi sentiment.

It specifically talks about folks using Microsoft's online service that connects users of their new-ish gaming console, the XBox. The network allows you to play games like Football or race F1 cars for example against other people who could potentially be anywhere on the planet. Anywhere with a decent connection to the internet that is.

According to the articles author, it turns out that people are being kicked out of gaming groups mid-game because of their position or views on the Iraqi topic. French people are being booted out of some groups because of their country's position on the matter,  and a Brit dude has apparently been kicking all Americans out of games he controls, and so on.

I reckon it's bloody hillarious, virtual-politics at its best.
